A BRUSH THAT BRUSHES AND STRAIGHTENS IN ONE GO, RATE OR HATE?

So this week I was kindly sent a @instyleireland_uk Ceramic styling brush to try out – how exciting! Being a relativity new brand I’m so excited to be one of the first people to test the product out and to tell all my gorgeous readers the low down on the product and whether or not it’s worth the money.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I absolutely love the packaging it comes in; the box is rectangular with very bold typeface on the sides reading ‘GLOSSIE’ & their logo ‘IN STYLER’. On the front you have an image of the product with a few details about its performance and a little slogan ‘the fast way to smooth and shine hair’ and on the back you have very clear instructions on what the product does and how it works.

THE DESIGN

It’s sleek, expensive looking and pretty on the eye and would look great sitting on any girls dressing table. One side of the straightener is white, but not a cheap looking white, it’s got like a gloss finish over the top which gives it that luxurious feel to it. On the reverse side it’s black which ties in with the black plug it comes on. They’ve definitely thought hard about the design of this product and their attention to detail is spot on. It doesn’t feel like a cheap tong, it has some weight to it and feels sturdy enough to use without feeling as if it’s going to break.

THE EASE OF USE

So when I first opened it, I expected the flat part to be the straightener and the brush would just be a normal brush. But the brush is actually hard with little ceramic plates on the top which I’m guessing is the part that helps straighten your hair haha! Upon using it I’ve found it to be really relaxing, not sure if anyone else has the same opinion as me but I felt really relaxed using it. If you like someone playing with your hair or brushing it then this an ideal product for you because it feels amazing. The brush doesn’t pull or tug on your hair and it easily glides through making it basically fool-proof for anyone to use.

SETTINGS

So there are 4 different temperature settings and the brush heats up to 230degrees which is something I look for when buying straighteners. The brush heats instantly and it has regulated temperature control which maintains consistent heat throughout the entire surface of the brush. You can adjust the temps from 150-230 degrees and it’s suitable for all hair types and textures.

GLOSSIE

The Glossie part of the brush helps to eliminate frizz as it smooths and straightens all in one swipe. The cool tips allow you the freedom to style really close to the roots of your head without the fear of burning your scalp, OUCH, this was actually a concern of mine upon using but fears were no longer once I had used it for myself.

RESULTS

Did it straighten my hair? Yes

Was it easy to use? 100%

Would you use it again? Definitely

Does it feel flimsy when brushing? Nope, the tool itself feels really sturdy!

PRICE

The price of the product is £79.99 which I think is totally reasonable for the results and overall performance of the product.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

I would just like to say although this was a gifted item, it wasn’t sponsored and all the thoughts and opinions I’ve made are entirely my own. I wasn’t instructed to write a review but because I loved the product I wanted to feature it on my website! As you all know from reading my blog, I wouldn’t recommend something that I wouldn’t recommend my friends and family.

Thanks again to the team at @instylerireland_uk for gifting me!!
