I am a fan of a mousse overnight tan so when Celebtan sent me a package in the post I was delighted! I’m not gonna lie, I’m a creature of habit, I do believe that you shouldn’t fix what’s not broken but at the same time how will you ever know unless you try?
3 hours for a deep tan
DIRECTIONS OF USE
You pop some mousse on your tan mit and then cover your entire body with the product using a fake tan mit using circular motions.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS/THOUGHT PROCESS
First impressions were, yayyyyy it’s a mousse tan, my favourite. I then pumped some out so I could smell it, it smells like malibu & coconuts, I wasn’t overly keen on the smell but that’s just personal preference, it’s not horrible at all just I’m just a fussy smell kinda gal. Anyways, I started applying it to my legs first, you can see ever so slightly that it has a bronze colour guide. Unfortunately the guide wasn’t dark enough for me because I have woken up with missed bits all over my arms which has never happened before. I’m hoping that I was just careless with applying it and that it was just a mistake because the whole application seemed effortless. The product feels super silky on your skin once applied, it doesn’t feel like it drys your skin out which is a bonus because it leaves your skin feeling so smooth so it deffo stuck to what it said on the bottle; ‘Hydrates & Moisturises’. I left my tan on for 3 hours and although I look darker than when I put it on (always a bonus), I wouldn’t say it’s very deep at all, once showered, it’s more of a natural glow. It does promise what it says, ‘it’s a natural tan’ but for me I just don’t feel it’s dark enough. I would suggest if you love a natural glow, something not so intense and deep then this would be perfect for you. I will probably continue to use it for 2 more days so that I can build up a really intense tan to reach my desired shade and just hopefully apply it more carefully. I also love the fact it’s non-sticky and drys instantly which is so important as I cannot bare a sticky residue after.
Reasons – although smells a lot better than biscuits, I’m not a fan of coconut
1 hour for light, 2 hours for medium, 3 hours for dark
RATE OR SLATE?
RATE if you like a natural tan (but be sooooo careful that you’ve covered your entire body evenly) & if you have time to use it for 3 days to intensify the shade.
SLATE if you like a deep intense tan in one hit.
Although much lighter than expected, it’s not orange toned which is ideal when you’re faking it.
- The tan application is easy & feels so dreamy once applied
- It claims to be natural, hydrating & moisturising which it was
- It’s quite pricey
- The colour guide wasn’t dark enough
